Welcome
Social Dialogue Centre for Glass Industry
ABOUT US
Polish glass industry is made up of over 100 companies. Poland is the sixth biggest glass manufacturer in Europe, and Polish glassworks annually produce about 3 million tons of glass.
Employers and trade unions active in the glass industry have been conducting autonomous social dialogue for several years. In 2004 an official agreement has been signed on purpose and principles of the dialogue. During the regular meetings we discuss issues which are crucial for the branch.
As part of the agreement, successive initiatives are undertaken aimed at strengthening social dialogue. They include preparing the principles and completion of the project “Social Dialogue Centre for Glass Industry”.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project of the Centre originated thanks to three organizations:
- “Polish Glass” Manufacturers Federation,
- Federation of Trade Unions of Chemical, Glass and Ceramics Industries in Poland,
- Branch Secretariat of Chemical Workers NSZZ Solidarność,
and it is aimed at employers and employees from glass industry companies.
The Centre is an innovative initiative on a European scale. Its main purpose is the strengthening of social dialogue within the branch.
The project is part financed by the European Social Fund and state budget, as part of the Operational Programme Human Capital.
